Ali Dibley

I am an embroidery artist in Sydney, Australia.

My current work combines watercolour painting and embroidery to capture the cosy charm of our most familiar surroundings.

I spent many years making and embroidering custom wedding dresses for clients, while running a sustainable vintage dress hire shop at the same time. Although I loved the work, I felt the need to slow down and make space to explore my own creative practice.

I love sparkles, colour and all forms of decoration. I’m a research nerd which has led me to mastering a huge variety of different textile embellishment techniques, and I’m always keen to learn more.
